In the process of designing this space, I found myself reminiscing over my decades-long career in food media — from many years leading integrated marketing efforts for emerging and legacy food brands; to heading up communications for chefs and food personalities; and launching my passion project, the community-driven site Black Food & Beverage.
As a food writer, the depth and reach of those varied experiences add weight and texture to my storytelling about food and culture — stories that are often rich with Black and Midwestern narratives.
